All teams within the CEVA organization are travel teams and will include 5x regional tournaments, 3x travel and 2x qualifiers.
We tailor our programs for all athletes by providing different levels of competitive teams. Placement on these teams are based on tryout results and team need. All athletes will be evaluated on skills, attitude, and team play during tryouts by our coaching staff. Athletes will be placed on a team that will provide them the best chance to succeed individually and with the team.
For the 2020-2021 Season, there are several club wide changes that we are excited to share. ALL CEVA teams will be travel teams and can be expected to have several tournaments outside of the region. Each team should expect to have 1 tournament that will require the purchase of a flight and several tournaments that will require lodging.
All teams are travel teams within the CEVA organization. This year we are targeting to attend 5 regional tournaments, 3 travel tournaments and 2 national qualifier tournaments, chasing a bid to Nationals.
Regional tournaments are traditionally 1 day local tournaments within driving distance.
Travel tournaments are tournaments that will require at least 1 night in a hotel, possibly more.
National qualifier tournaments are known as NEQ, Capital Hill Classic and will always require hotel stays for multiple days.
FEES & PAYMENT
Chesapeake Elite Volleyball Academy features one of most inclusive fee packages with one of the lowest price tags for club volleyball in the Region.
Included in the CEVA season dues:
Uniforms (jerseys, backpack, warm-ups, masks)
All tournament entry fees
Insurance/Practice gym rentals
Equipment and supplies – balls, carts, nets, etc.
College recruitment support (coach communication/networking/skills video/etc.)
Program Administration – mailing, website, coach training and out-of-pocket expenses, publicity and copies, club insurance, etc.
Not included in the CEVA season dues:
Travel and lodging costs for players ***(NEW change for the 2020-2021 Season)
USAV registration – must be done PRIOR to tryouts
CHRVA scorer/referee certification fee – must be done PRIOR to first tournament
Parent hotel accommodations at tournaments
Driving transportation for tournaments/practices
Food at tournaments
Post season tournament travel/expenses if a team qualifies for USAV Nationals in or decides to attend AAU National Championships

Black Travel - $3,000
Practice Players - $1,200

All teams are travel teams and will practice 2x per week. These practices start in mid-November and run through mid-May unless the team wins the National bid or competes in AAU, where then additional practice will be offered.
